It’s Valentine’s Day today and we both liked this brief poem called ‘A Drinking Song’ by W B Yeats that we heard on the radio this morning:
Wine comes in at the mouthAnd love comes in at the eye; That’s all we shall know for truthBefore we grow old and die.I lift the glass to my mouth,I look at you, and I sigh.
Our lovely Son-in-law doesn’t do Valentine’s Day! He says every day is Valentine’s in their house and we have adopted the same saying! I did get us a tiny heart shaped tin of chocolates to share.(It really is tiny despite the photo!) Later in the afternoon we had a walk around Trelissick Gardens which was lovely. Do join us!

Sally, did you think I had deserted you? Life and indeed death, played a part in keeping me from the blog world over the past few weeks. I love the lichen photo is is like a luscious embroidery.
