There is a beautiful new cat in the neighbourhood! There was quite a face-off in the garden this afternoon as Zorro from next door was defending his territory.

The new cake required a grapefruit syrup and I loved the gloss of the bubbles with the flecks of Grapefruit in it.

igers roar in the garden. Sabres rattle. Then peace returns your backyard oasis.
Grapefruit syrup and bubbles. This caught me off guard, the picture and the syrup. Do you make it or buy it. The end results look simply elegant.

It certainly was a noisy affair and we have nicknamed the intruder ‘Tiger’.
Yes, I made the grapefruit syrup, half to pour over the cake and the other half to soak the grapefruit segments and the blueberries in for the top of the cake. I can’t believe that I forgot to take a photo of the complete cake before I took it next door for the meeting! I think that means I shall have to make another! 🙂
