Síocháin is the peace I grew up with.
Áthas Bealtaine agus síocháin timpeall ort, Sally! May joy and peace surround you, Sally!

Not to make light, but for most Canadians the encrypted word for PEACE is Eh!, but don’t tell anyone okay, they’ll take away my citizenship if they find out I spilled the beans.

Not related to this post directly, but is very much on another level. I feel at Peace, when I enter the place where I purchase my gas and the young man whom immigrated with his family from the East smiles and says, “Hello Brother”. Last Friday he didn’t and I knew something went terribly somewhere. I asked, “whats wrong?”. And he told me about Paris.

What happened in Paris is behind my last few posts. I feel sad that your immigrant friend feels he can’t call you Brother. Perhaps that will come back. I hope so. Peace to you and yours.

We should all do one “Pilgrimage for Peace” in our lives.
