Sea Spray, Swimmers and Shelter

07 Nov

Another glorious afternoon, warm and very windy and the sea at Gyllyngvase was rougher than we have ever seen it with waves crashing against the sea wall and glinting in the sunshine.

There were lots of swimmers in the water and not all wearing wet-suits.

I love this shelter along Cliff Road in Falmouth. Click to see the detail of the anchor cut-outs on the shutters and the delightful weather vane.

I would find it hard to walk away from this at the end of day.

I don’t know if you have been to Havana, Cuba but the Avenida de Maceo is a favourite of mine to watch the forces of the sea and to people watch.

A beautiful part of the world; there is nothing more enjoyable then sitting and listening to the waves.

I love listening to the sea, nothing quite so soothing. 🙂

Certainly looks like a lovely place to escape the cares for a bit.
