We cooked another of our Spicery meals tonight as Daughter No 1 was with us having helped to put the boat to bed for the winter in the ship-yard and it was very good indeed – Catalan Seafood Fideua with Lemon Allioli and a green salad.
This afternoon I made a new cake where I blended two recipes and it worked out well. It’s oranges and lemons and sour cream and I need to think of a name!
Here are some more useful words, this time from Einstein.

Given the quote, you could call the cake, ‘the Big Mystery Cake’.. Children and the child at heart would gobble it up for the name alone. If you told me it was simply called Moon Cake I’d get that.

Catalan -peas and shrimp, peas in anything, am salivating. I could see this with seared Digby Scallops.

I almost added scallops but decided at the last minute not to – now I’m thinking I should have put some in! Next time! 🙂

I like the name Moon Cake and that makes it more special. Thank you. 🙂

We had such a moon last night. A significant storm passed through yesterday, rain and high winds, remnants of hurricane Patricia which slammed the west coast of Mexico. At break neck speed, clouds speed pass the face of the Moon. Your icing a good rendering.
