Super Moon, Breakfast and Weather Vane

28 Sep

Last night’s Super Moon was lovely to watch. Sadly when we got up at 3am to see the Blood Moon, clouds had almost completely obscured the moon. We just had tantalising glimpses.

2   We had the most delicious breakfast this morning – an eggy bananaey bread sandwich stuffed with fruit including the few blackberries from the garden that I showed you a day or two ago. it is from a Jamie Oliver recipe and was just ambrosia!

3   The sunlight was shining in the weathervane on top of Truro Cathedral this afternoon. We called in to Truro after my six week check-up with the surgeon at Treliske and he is very happy with my progress.

Breakfast looks so amazing…I think this might be a wonderful diversion from my morning routine.

The moon last night here was an absolute no show due a thick low cloud deck. So am glad to see yours. A super duper moon if you ask me. I seldom photograph the moon. I usually become a moonstruck gawking gazer and don’t bother with the camera.

The moon tonight however was a huge blood orange ball as it came over the horizon minutes after sunset, so snapped off a half dozen. Here is a link http://www.beyondplumcreek.com/shtufffs/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/moon_05-Copy.jpg if you’d to take a looksie. It is by no means as delicious looking as your berry pocket eggy bread.

The weather vane I’ve seen before here, sometimes far away, this is the closest I believe. Brilliant against a busting out blue sky..

That is truly beautiful, thank you for sharing it with me. The colour is glorious even without any eclipse. I think my Dad used to call one that big and colourful , a Harvest moon.
It was good to see the cockerel glowing in the Autumn sunshine. 🙂
