Knitting and Pencil Sharpener

13 Sep

I’ve made another little hat for Blue Light Babies in a gorgeous soft multicoloured baby wool. I have a blanket nearly finished but that takes much, much longer.

I’ve had another go at my Mindfulness colouring book which is quietly therapeutic. When we were in London in July, I bought myself a fabulous five hole pencil sharpener from the RA shop. With it I can sharpen pencils of five different sizes! I have been a stationery geek ever since I was a little girl, just loving each September when I could get my new pencil case and contents for the new school term. I had that joy throughout my teaching career too!

I love the five hole sharpener, it is almost a piece of sculpture.

I agree. That was why I just had to have it despite not really having five sizes of pencil to sharpen! 🙂

Thank you. It has certainly come out well – and the next one with the same wool will be different. 🙂

Beautiful Beanie, love the soft colours. I would grab that pencil sharpener if I saw one, can never find the right size one when I need it for my work. Have a great day. Kath.

Susan took the words right out of my mouth. Having taught for over 30 years I’ve seen my share of sharpeners and this one is certainly unique. I love the fact that it is made of wood.

I’ve never seen a five-hole sharperner before. It looks like a musical instrument!

I never had either – which is why I had to have it! Interesting comparison, I shall have to try blowing it! 🙂
