Photos, Texts and A Poem

19 Jun

Our Littlest Live-wire is with her other Grandparents for a  week and these photos came our way tonight – very cheery and good for the soul.

My beloved brother and my bestest Sister-in-law have travelled to Cornwall today and we will see them tomorrow. Exchanging texts all day has been restorative too.

And a lovely poem for you, Hope is the Thing by Emily Dickinson

“Hope” is the thing with feathers –
That perches in the soul –
And sings the tune without the words –
And never stops – at all –
And sweetest – in the Gale – is heard –
And sore must be the storm –
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm –
I’ve heard it in the chillest land –
And on the strangest Sea –
Yet – never – in Extremity,
It asked a crumb – of me.

Just found this comment – sorry I didn’t reply years ago! Yes, Littlest liveWire, who is now LW No 4, her ‘littlest’ label having been usurped by her twin baby cousins, is still an intrepid explorer with an eye for detail. I like to think my genes have something to do with her curiosity. 🙂

Your livewire, petit oiseau jaun, as I browsed the previous posts, I think inherited its and bits or chunks of, for being curious an the explorer. It all gets passed down the line doesn’t it.

Oh she is! And today she is back for a Father’s Day breakfast tomorrow and then off again. She lifts all our spirits. Thank you for calling in. I am a bit remiss at the moment. Sorry.

Oh the freedom to sprawl out in a hammock with such abandon. I wish!!!!
