I loved my whole teaching career and when I retired I never dreamed that I would be so lucky to have this job of conducting special and unique Ceremonies for happy people! Today saw the Wedding Ceremony of a young Swedish couple and it was just lovely. They have promised to send me some photos that I can put on here but I did just manage to snatch one as they walked up the aisle together afterwards. It was a new experience for me to have the vows repeated in Swedish. All fifty guests had come over from Sweden for the event.
After the Ceremony
2 As we were waiting for the Ceremony to begin, I noticed a biker on the cliffs, balancing his bike on a boulder and making an intriguing silhouette.

3 I saw a board outside a hotel in Falmouth the other day saying – “Did you know that stressed backwards is desserts?” I decided that a dessert was on the cards today as the lovely Mr S has been battling a nasty virus for a week and I am struggling to beat it off so I decided that we both needed some quality comfort food. My heart goes out to all the people affected by the terrible earthquake in Nepal, such a beautiful country with beautiful and generous people. We bought a Shelterbox recently and I would be pleased to discover that our box is going out to help the people of Kathmandu.

OMG RHUBARB!!! I miss it soooo much. When I was growing up in Sioux Falls SD we had it in pie, cake and in a sauce (strawberry/rhubarb) you could pour on ice cream! YUM!!

When I first saw him, I thought he was a sculpture! I had time to go and get my camera, get back to the view, focus and get several shots and then he moved! 🙂

I can imagine it is wonderful to do a wedding. As for the Rhubarb recipe it sounds so easy and soooo delicious. I am going to find some rhubarb…..

It is! I had to avoid looking at the Mums yesterday as they were both mopping tears and I began to feel quite choked – which of course, I must not do! 🙂

In the rhubarb I have fallen often, and as a dessert I like. No, I like a lot. And for the record, I to am battling a virus. I know. Here’s the recipe make it yourself………..I was at my mother’s today, while there I checked. Not a sign of it at all. Soon I hope.
I had not heard of the earthquake. Am off to understand.

Got it. Thank you. Really it is exactly as my mother makes rhubarb pie, which is exactly how her mother made it. Much of what they both made came by way of ancestral roots, that being Pennsylvania Dutch. There truly is a vernacular to the food we eat.
