Singing, Periwinkle and Raindrops

03 Mar

1  I had my daily dose of singing today at a wonderful workshop run by my lovely choir leader, Claire Ingleheart. The songs were  about the Suffragettes and were both rousing and moving. The work shop is linked with a scratch performance tonight of a new play-in-progress by Natalie McGrath who wrote the wonderful Oxygen which you can read about here.

2    We are having days of sunshine and showers, heavy ones with hailstones but the flowers are still beginning to bloom.

2   The new leaves on the Honeysuckle caught the raindrops perfectly.

I didn’t know it could help sinuses – have forwarded it to Mr B who’s still suffering! XX

Hope it helps even if it is only singing around the house! 🙂

That’s a lot of snow in March! We would have liked several inches just once – but it didn’t happen in Cornwall! The North of England is however having another snowstorm as I write. 🙂

Who cares about the listeners? It’s you singing that counts! 🙂

I don’t sing but I hum to myself…. does that count? Lovely to see the raindrops on the leaves and flowers.

I love the raindrops on the periwinkle and honeysuckle leaves. We will have to wait a month or two before singing: Raindrops on Roses…!

I love raindrops too, as you may have seen from the frequency of such photos! I love it when the veins on the leaf are magnified by the water. 🙂

Sally, what about those who, like me, can’t sing to save themselves?

But you see, I don’t believe you! I heard that there is an Zimbabwean saying, ‘If you can walk, you can dance. If you can talk, you can sing!’ 🙂

I believe that with the singing. There will be a choir starting in my neighbourhood, I shall check it out as I do love singing as well!

Oh, do! There is nothing quite like singing with others – and a real bond develops between you all – much like that between us bloggers! 🙂

It was brilliant to be there and to be singing with all those familiar voices. 🙂
