For the first time since my operation on 29th December, I had almost a full night’s sleep and woke up feeling brilliant! I invited myself next door for a cuppa and had a delightful half hour with Sue, catching up on what has been going on while I have been hibernating!
This pretty bag was delivered by another of our lovely neighbours a couple of days ago and out have popped beautiful purple Iris Reticulata, some of my all time favourite Spring flowers. The lovely Mr S will plant them out soon. Thank you K&R.
I have been spoilt too with this beautiful bunch of tulips, again a few days ago. Thank you R&R.
Those of you who are regular readers will know that I need to be creating something be it sewing, knitting or baking. I knew I wouldn’t be up to reading patterns post op so I started a small crochet project where it wouldn’t matter if I made mistakes! Thanks to Attic24, a delightfully creative blog, I was inspired to try a wreath. It was going to be a Christmas one but I have now decided it will be a celebration of Spring. Here it is so far…….
Thank you to all of you who have sent kind get well messages. Every day brings a bit more progress – more strength, better at the exercises, better concentration but still hours of daytime sleep!

OMG I LOVE the wreath!!! As I’ve mentioned before I am a big rainbow fan and put it in a lot of my crafts. I am going to share this picture with my friend who is the crochet master to see if she might try one. I need more rainbow colors and might try it too!

I’m really enjoying following your blog, and find that I am actively looking for ‘beautiful things ‘ each day. It’s a great boost to positivity. Glad to hear you are feeling stronger – I recommend chicken soup and lots of butter!!

Really pleased to hear that. Sorry not to have replied to your lovely long letter yet – I sleep much of the day and everything else takes an age to accomplish but I am getting there. Will write soon x x Mr S is making chicken stock for soup as I write! X x

So pleased to hear you are recovering well – listen to your body – it knows what it needs and if that is sleep – well, hibernating has always seemed lke a god idea to me! Much love.
