Solitary Walk Through The Churchyard in Spring – Weekly Photo Challenge

04 May

I was on my own for most of today and went for a quiet walk through St Euny graveyard, a most peaceful and tranquil time. My only companions were the birds, including a Jay, a couple of fast moving rabbits and a Hare whose huge ears were listening intently as I tried to get his photo into focus! The Bluebells and the Three Cornered Leek were in abundance with Red Campion and Primroses still making their mark. There had been a wedding recently and I dedicate this post to Ute, a friend I have made over the blogosphere, who was married in this Church here in Redruth.  Click on any photo to see the detail, especially the Jay and the Hare!

Graveyard Fantasia. Dramatically surreal. Had the pleasure to visit England and Scotland in May. This is the green I remember, though I don’t recall it being that bright with sunlight, but the beauty of May shone through regardless. All cemeteries should be as wild and magnificent as this. I spent a lot time in while in Scotland -my surname is Sutherland.

I spotted the Jay. We have a few varieties Canada, ours vociferous and mischievous and love to travel as a gang or within a ruckus caw from each other. One squawk and his partners in crime are ready to roll into action.
