Breakfast, Reading and A New Blog

25 Jan

1  Breakfast in bed is a treat.

2  Time to read is a treat – as long as I can stay awake  long enough. I have enjoyed Khaled Hosseini’s other work and this has started very promisingly.

And the Mountains Echoed

And the Mountains Echoed

3   I discovered a beautiful new blog today – funny, sad, touching and compelling reading about a Dad bringing up his two boys after being widowed.  Give it a try. Click on the link.

I sure agree with the first one and thanks for putting me on to the ‘living with proles’ blog, touching with a hint of humor:)

So glad you’ve been in to visit. It’s one of the most honest I’ve read and very affecting. 🙂

I know I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but I do like that cover!

I will give the new blog a peek. Good on you for putting it out there, Sally 🙂

So glad you’ll have a look at Jack’s blog. I’m sure you will find it as absorbing as I am doing. 🙂

Had to visit “jack’s blog”… I can only relate with my sister who lost her husband…
and raised 6 children on her own… met another great man only to lose him too this past year…
I’ve read The Kite Runner…so know I would like this book too…
I’ve got such a stack on my nightstand…that seems to grow…

Raising kids on your own must be so hard – and to write about it so well…
Your sister has had a hard time and she’s lucky to have you around. 🙂

Dear Valerie, I am so glad that you went to visit Jack and that you took time to talk to him. He sounds like the most amazing young man. 🙂
