Sweetpeas, Gladioli and Agapanthus

29 Aug

1   In our garden, I have the very tall pan-stand that was in the kitchen since I was a little girl. We used it ourselves for pans in our last house but have no room for it now. Last year I grew the runner beans up it but they really needed more light so this year we have the Sweet peas climbing up it and they are doing well. Mum would have loved the idea!

2   The Gladioli are a lovely soft yellow colour that brightens up a darkish corner.

3   Our Agapanthus seem way behind everyone else’s but they are coming at last and are a beautiful, rich dark purply blue which I love.

I need to grow some sweetpeas next summer. I’ve always liked them.

I can appreciate the re-use of such a home memory item, so much better than disposing of it, how good you must feel when you see it again and again, remembering home hearth and loved ones? Does the pan stand, stand for something more? Beautiful flowers now stand on it and now you have added it to your posting garden as well. Thanks

Sweet peas are such a pretty flower. Very creative with the pan stand. 🙂
