Families are the same the world over, whatever the culture. Here, the Mum has just finished getting the family into height order for Dad to take the family portrait and he all the while calling out in a voice that sounded as if he were warning his wife not to step any further backwards!

You’re right! When it comes to everyday life and affairs, all nationalities seem unexpectedly alike 🙂

Definitely a postcard feel to this. I would find it hard not to apply balloon captions.
Interesting photo and fitting as this is definitely a cultural milestone. After all it is the tombs of lost cultures that seem to make it to the list of ‘wonders’ of monumental proportion kind. But if I recall correctly from my art history lectures long past, this was at the beginning of Mughal Architecture , predating Taj Mahal. I am fairly certain my crypt will pale considerably. Which goes to , they sure don’t make them like they use t’a……….Did I read somewhere not so long ago that Dubai was to make a replica (even larger than the original) of the Taj Mahal complete with shopping mall -oh boy!

I’d love to see your captions!
You are right about the Tomb predating the Taj Mahal. What a thought that they might be building a replica that would contain a shopping mall! I just looked it up and they plan for it to be 4x the original – how gross!
Thanks for calling in again and making interesting comments! 🙂

Isn’t it. We visited it before the Taj Mahal and it had a splendour all of its own. 🙂
