1 When I was doing the aforementioned Spring cleaning yesterday, I polished up this very old and lovely clock of my Granny’s. It just sits on the shelf in the kitchen stuck at 7.20. But, a beautiful thing happened yesterday. I tried winding it and reset the hands and it is working again! It’s been going for 24 hours and is still ticking!

2 The miniature daffodils in my Wise Monkey planter are blooming even though crows and sparrows alike are stealing the coconut liner material for their nests!

3 I have finished the yards of blanket stitch around the Hungry Caterpillar pram blanket. I am very pleased with it.

love that clock Sally. I hgave one belonging to Pip’s grandfather which sits in solitary splendour, again not working. I do like it though! It was too noisy in fact so we stopped it….

This one has a loud tick too but in the kitchen that’s okay. Lovely to have things from the past isn’t it, to know hands other than yours turned the winder…. 🙂

What treasures..the beautiful handmade blanket, and the lovely Tudric clock… Did you grandmother get it at Liberty’s… it looks like the lovely art nouveau designs they used to specialise in back then…

I’ve never heard of Tudric and I don’t know where Granny got it. The decoration is lovely, I agree. I’m going to find a magnifying glass and look up the Hall mark right now! That might tell me something. Thanks for your comment 🙂

Hello again, I’ve checked out all the little stamps and discovered that it was made in Birmingham in 1909 by Samuel M Levi and it is .925 Sterling.
That was a pleasing little exercise! So my beautiful little clock, standing just over 4″ tall, is officially an Antique being over 100 years old!
