1 The Cornish daffodils I bought the other day have opened and look just beautiful in the sunshine.

2 I had a special request from KJ for a new scarf for J as the one I made before Christmas has gone missing. I used up the wool that I made his sister’s Cat Hat and Cowl from and knitted all last night and this afternoon and got it to the post just in time!

3 We went to the Maritime Museum for a fabulous talk this evening given by Roz Savage about her exploits rowing solo across the oceans. Falmouth Harbour was looking particularly beautiful in the just-dark of the evening.

P.S. I was challenged by Yvonne to use all the favourite words I was given the other day to write a post containing all the words. I can manage a paragraph!
Heffalump was very happy that he had finally reached the attic uttering, ” Fabbydabbydozy” as he entered the enormous well-lit space and started exploring. He was happily fishing around in the ubiquitous clutter, when he found himself suddenly defenestrated. Somewhat discombobulated and out of breath, he looked around to assess the sorry situation. Serendipity! He had landed, rather fragrantly, in the honeysuckle and shaken but unharmed, declared,”Alleluia! Now, how to achieve anabasis?”

Daffodils – a sign of spring! After the cold damp and rainy weather we have been having it is nice to see the flower that promises us spring is on its way! 🙂

Daffodils are my mum’s favourite flowers. We have a few months to go before ours come up. So this is lovely to look at. 🙂

I’ve done all the sections but one, so he’s almost ready for stuffing and sewing up. I’m finding him quite a challenge so am knitting lots of other things at the same time!
I’ll get back to him over the weekend. He is not a ‘knit-and-watch-tv’ project! Thank you for asking! 🙂

The Daffodils are absolutely exquisite. Whenever I see Daffodils my mind always goes to Wordsworth’s poem. I’ve never forgotten seeing them in the lake District. Loved your images, especially the night ones. Clever paragraph as well. Thanks for a great post.

Sky over the Atlantic scarf?…..not likely but it reminded me of just that. With the exception of the daffodils there is a nautical theme happen. An idyllic maritime night scape. I can hear the sounds: salt water lapping, tether lines tugging and stretching between moor and vessel. I marvel at Roz Savage’s adventures, mind boggling, yet probably impossible without modern day science and knowledge. Still they are incredible grueling undertakings – imagine the ancient mariners who languished for centuries to acquire knowledge an nerve to venture just short distances in comparison.

You did hear all that we heard and that I was trying to capture! being somewhat afraid of being on the sea, I was totally in awe of what she did. It was amazing to listen to her adventures and to see her photos and videos!
The Ancient Mariners- oh yes! What fortitude! What imagination! What lives! 🙂

Thank you! The scarf was knitted with very thick wool on very big needles so it grew really quickly! I did enjoy writing the paragraph! The harbour was amazing that night! 🙂
