1 I slept all night! Beautiful!
2 Tonight I have finished the first of two Hoodies I am knitting for the Grandbabies. This is the smaller of the two and I am delighted with the finished article.

3 I love this small picture we have of a decorated Indian elephant. When we go to India at the end of the month we will be doing a safari on the back of an elephant. For one who admires elephants as I do (such devoted and tender creatures) it will be almost a dream come true to be so close to one.

PS For those who liked the idea of ‘Suffragette Socks’ in a recent post, this is what they look like! The shades of purple, white and green are just perfect and I shall love wearing them!

Your hoodie is so intricately beautiful I was inspired to pick up knitting. So I watched two YouTube videos on How to Knit. 10 minutes into the videos, I was lost. Though I’m still quite clueless about how to purl and cast-on, I’ve gained a deep respect for hand-knit wear and all the wonderful people who make them! You’re amazing!

Thank you so much! I was very lucky that my Granny taught me to knit when I was quite little so I learned easily as you do when you are young!
Take it slowly! Knit a scarf for a child first and if you choose one of the very clever wools that there are about now, a pattern will be made for you and you’ll feel really pleased with the result! Good luck. With a name like yours, you really should persevere! 🙂

Oh YES sleeping all night is beautiful! I vote for that one to be sure. I just this last week got a prescription for sleeping tablets to help me out with current stress insomnia. VOTE 1 FOR THE FULL NIGHT’S SLEEP! 🙂
I love your knitting. Do you know, I reckon you could even have an on-side business knitting things for people. I know no-one who knits, & the idea of commissioning a grandma to sit & knit a woolly jumper for me with a hoodie, & buying it – to me, it’s one of those precious things worth buying. You really could have a business there… (but clearly IF you had time!!!)

Funny that you had about getting enough sleep in your recent post too. Doesn’t a good night make everything seem better? I do hope the prescription is helping you to get the sleep you need.
If I had the time, I would love to knit for others but it takes so long I would have to charge a fortune! The two hoodies have taken forever but as they are coming to completion, they are very pleasing. T’s is ready to post and J’s only needs the sleeves putting in. Two more evenings should see them both done and I want to post them together. 🙂

Wow – your knitting is impressive! I wish I could knit… never learned how to. I love the socks too, and the idea of wearing them to be a suffragette. I hope you have a fantastic time in India when you go. Have you been before?

My jaw dropped when I saw the hoodie — amazing!!!! LOVE that color and the socks look sooo comfortable and soft. I hope elephants with upturned trunks (symbol of good fortune) are all around you in your travels! We’ll look forward to the picture evidence when you get back! 🙂

Hoodie No 2 is nearly done. Can’t do one for one grandchild without one for the other!

I’m putting the same buttons onto the other hoodie whenever I get it finished. All its pieces are knitted but I’ve made a mistake with one and now have to work out what and when and redo before I can start to sew it up and that’s a bit daunting! 🙂
