Love-in-the-Mist, Heather Tree and A Supper Tray

24 Aug

1   I love Nigella (aka Love-in-the-mist) flowers and seeds. The seeds feed the gold finches and they’ve been at the feeder today, the flowers themselves are delicate and beautiful and the seed pods are gorgeous! When I do my Wedding Ceremonies, I give the couple a packet of these as their wedding present!

2   It’s been a quiet day today, looking after Mr S who has had an attack of Meniere’s disease so this next photo is from our walk the other day at Botallack. This heather pleased me, growing very close to the ground and resembling a tree in its formation. It’s only about 25cms across, smaller than it appears in the photo.

3    A supper tray for Mr S (who is feeling much better this evening)

The heather looks like a flat tree. What a beautiful gift – seeds. I’ve always heard and repeated that marriage is like a garden that has be tended to everyday!

Brilliant pics, dear lady, hope Mr S is well.
AnElephant assumes he is a rabbit as you seem to have given him a flower for dessert!
And thanks for your continued support and kind words.
    Hugs

It was all eaten and today he is fine again 🙂 – such is the nature of Mneiere’s.

These pictures are awesome, but not as awesome (to me) as the fact you continue to so easily identify 3 beautiful things in every day. And I love that number 3. You’re so wonderful. I can imagine you are a perfect, perfect character of person to be doing Weddings.

I don’t know what Meniere’s disease is, I would have to look it up (so won’t pretend) but I truly hope Mr S came round okay, & the walk did some of that magic that nature does do.

Menieres is simple but has a horrid effect. It is when the pressure in the inner ear builds up (don’t know why) but that pressure makes you have no sense of balance, makes you deaf and feel very sick so you can’t move until the attack is over. Not life threatening but no fun! Thank you very much for your concern. He’s fine now.

I love doing Weddings! Today I’ve done a Baby Naming and they are lovely too! 🙂

Hope you are keeping well. Sending you love 🙂

They are quite delightful and come in white and pink as well as lots of shades of blue. I love them! 🙂

I don’t know if Mr S has tried it but Reflexology is very good for Meniere’s. I am a reflexologist and I have had first hand experience of this helping.
    Lovely photos as well

I will tell him and ask my reflexology friend about it too. Thank you very much for your concern 🙂

Your photos are so interesting and good. Looking at the Love-in-the-mist seed pod I’m struck by the way so much in nature resembles aspects of the human body. This seed pod looks exactly like the synapses in the human brain. But then we’re so deeply part of nature, aren’t we? I hope Mr S is feeling better. The health in that plate of food will certainly nourish him.

What an interesting observation and, yes, you are right.

Mr S is better thank you. The attacks last only a few days but are quite debilitating when they happen (not very often, I’m glad to say)

Thank you for your concern – supper went down well. 🙂

I love fried or sauteed zucchini. Did you make the place mat?

No, it’s one of my Granny’s! She was so skilful! My courgette crop failed this year and we love them too so were very disappointed. We’ll have to keep buying them! 🙂

Have you tried a little lemon rind grated over the courgette/zucchini at the last minute? It adds a certain something! 🙂
