Rainbow Park, World Food and Book Maze

11 Aug

1.    A delightful day out along the South Bank where the atmosphere was truly beautiful – Londoners, visitors of all ages from all over the country and from all over the world, Olympians and lovely volunteers. There was singing, break dancing, art work and poems, a Rainbow Park made of sand for children and an Ark being built by the Wildworks team!

2.   There was the most amazing food market with food from all over the world – amazing smells, lots of delicious samples to be had and a very tasty lunch in the glorious sunshine.

3.  In the Festival Hall there was a Maze made of books! Lego packs were being given away! And the lift sings to its passengers!  I just loved that – and joined in!

You’ll have to wait for pictures, I’m afraid, as my iPad won’t allow me to upload  photos but they will be worth it!

A park named Rainbow. Sounds like an inviting and beautiful place. Will wait for the pictures……but can conjure up my own. 🙂

By lift…….I guess you mean an elevator? There always seems to be some kind of music. But one that sings to you and encourages you to sing back. I go for that.

I’ll put the photos up soon. I’ve slept most of this afternoon!

I do mean an elevator! It wasn’t canned music – though it was recorded. It was a woman singing up the scales. As we went up the voice sang up and when we reached the top floor, she sang, in that top note, “You are on Floor 6. The doors are now opening!” On the way down the scale went down. It was delightful! I hope my explanation works!
All the best to you 🙂

Yes, that does explain it. lol

It seems when one is on an elevator, everybody looks down and stares at the floor. There are probably plenty of smiles on this lift.

A family got in with us and were just riding up and down to enjoy it! We were all full of smiles! 🙂

The lift sings to its passengers – that’s just a brilliant idea 🙂 So much better than “lift music”.

The book maze sounds awesome. OMG, do you NEVER have a day at home!!! I love the way you LIVE your life…

It was fabulous! As we went up, the voice went up the scale and as we arrived at a floor, she sang, in the note she had reached, “You have reached the third floor. The doors are now opening!” I loved it!
      Take care! 🙂
