Pillow Case, Customer Service and First Broad Beans

24 Jul

1   KJ and the children are coming again tomorrow to spend the last few days with P&V and I’ve been getting the bedding ready. I love this pillow case that was my Mum’s.

2   We popped into Truro today and in one of my favourite shops there were these drinks available. What a lovely thing to do for your customers on a very hot day.

3   We have harvested our first broad beans and they were delicious stir fried with pak choi.

Just look at the soft, comfortable lining for the beans – beautiful!

I had my 11,000th visitor today! Thank you all so much for reading, liking and following my blog and thank you very much for all the comments which I really appreciate very much.

Love the pillow case…it’s just too amusing for words! Never had broad beans before but I like the cushy lining. I bet they are tasty! I think that is so considerate of folks to provide drinks for shoppers and also for pets. How nice is that!

Check out the duvet cover on the lower bunk bed in today’s post, dozens of the cats wearing Converse All Stars! I love them too!
Broad beans are my favourites, delicately flavoured and good steamed, perhaps lightly buttered of in a bechamel sauce – delicious!
Providing water is, I agree, a lovely gesture. 🙂

Those broad beans look absolutely wonderful.

It’s those little touches like those drinks on the table that make me love England so much. Never forget how I felt when I saw for the first time pet bowls of water outside shops.

Lovely thoughtfulness isn’t it? We have a steep uphill walk from town up the lane and there’s a house that always has a bowl of water there for the dogs – and I’m sure they are very grateful! 🙂
