1 Just ten of The Ingleheart Singers and Claire went to sing at a special birthday party in a field this afternoon. We practised first in the Garden Centre at Lelant, and found ourselves with a very appreciative audience there and then at the party much appreciated again which was lovely.

2 After the singing came the Maypole dancing which was just delightful.

3 Just come back, chuckling all the way home, from seeing the lovely Simon Amstell (he of Grandma’s House on BBC TV) at The Hall for Cornwall in Truro – made us laugh a lot – always a good thing!

Sorry not to be there but took Shelagh to see the Chicken Hotel, then walked Moll then we went and had a massage (bliss) and family came for a meal evening.xx

If you look carefully at the singing photo, you’ll see the pole wrapped in ribbons behind us. These are unwound, each person takes one and then alternate people face one way and the others the other way. (Got it so far?)
When the music starts, they weave under/over each other so that the ribbons are then plaited up around the pole again! It’s enormous fun and can get quite silly but it’s beautiful when it all works 🙂
