Tristan and Yseult, Doorway and Mist

29 Jun

1    Kneehigh Theatre’s production of Tristan and Yseult is fabulous!  We went to see it this afternoon at The Hall for Cornwall and were blown away by its sheer joy and inventiveness and its roller-coaster emotions. Just a taster – in the wedding scene the audience are asked to blow up and release white balloons – a completely magical effect.  You can read about the origins of this ancient Cornish love story here.

2   We walked around the back of the Cathedral today and found this beautiful, rather neglected, old doorway.

3   I loved the effect of the mist in the trees as we were driving home.

I am so scared of driving in mist, but I try anyway 😉

I just love the way you go to see so many plays…not an every day happening here…and the participation of the audience…how neat is that!

That’s a beautiful old doorway! All those white balloons going up together must have been incredible! 🙂
